Professionally: In 2017 I completed a double major undergraduate degree in psychology and counseling and drug and alcohol counseling. I have been licensed as a drug and alcohol counselor (LADC) by the MN Board of Behavioral Health since. In 2020 I completed a master’s degree in psychology and counseling to better serve clients with underlying mental health/co-occurring issues. Adding a professional counselor license (LPC) to my credentials, I am able to provide mental health assessments and counseling as appropriate. I emphasize a faith-based program of recovery incorporating education and discussion on the 12-steps. I am committed to serving clients with a holistic approach as I implement evidence-based practices to assist them in realizing their full health potential in seven key areas of wellness. I believe that our past should not define us and that diagnoses are meant to guide counseling services, not define the person or their future. Personally: I have had a heart to serve people in recovery for over 27 years, with a strong understanding and commitment to sharing the 12-steps as a way of life! I am a Christian counselor married to my best friend for over 20 years. We have a blended family; six adult children, 10+ grandchildren, two goldendoodle fur babies, and my Shih Tzu office partner Diva Stella! I love to laugh, camp, hike, snowshoe, travel, garden, and spend time around the bonfire or gameboard with family and friends. I understand and recognize the significance of experiencing hurts, losses, and stressors; however, I emphasize the significance of identifying how we can rise above and overcome despite those circumstances. “I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy, I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it.” - Anonymous
