Introduction

Hello! I am DeAnna Rock and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I've spent several years working with individuals with serious mental illness, trauma and addiction, both as a Licensed Nurse and Licensed Professional Counselor. I provide counseling for individuals of all ages and have specialized training in treatment of post-traumatic stress, depression with suicidal thoughts, self harm, severe anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorders, as well as children and adolescents struggling with academics, ADHD, family and social disturbances, as well as children and adolescents in the foster care or kinship care. I am trained in providing Comprehensive Diagnostic Assessments, Parenting Assessments and Forensic Interviews when there is suspected abuse or neglect. I am Nationally Certified in Trauma Therapy; find me on the TFCBT.ORG website. I consider myself to be an educator, as well as an advocate for adults, children and families. My counseling style is person centered and recovery focused. I have been described as direct, supportive, caring, and compassionate, with a good sense of humor. Focus is often on identifying your strengths and helping you maximize those abilities that are already a part of you, and to help you overcome and heal from adverse experiences. I'm here to help sort through the things that are difficult right now, and offer you a safe place to be open and honest, without fear of judgment. You have taken the first and most important step by reaching out for help. Should you feel in need of urgent help or that you are in crisis at any time during our work together; please call 988 or 1-800-273-TALK 24 hours a day; or 911. I want to be sure you know who to contact if you need immediate help. You are not alone. Things can and will get better. I'm looking forward to working with you!
