Introduction

Hello, my name is Deanna Houck. I am a certified Life Coach and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Marian College at Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and a Master of Science degree in educational/professional counselor tract from Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin. I recently earned a certificate in Neuropsychotherapy from Mind Works Professional Education, Inc. I am often described as compassionate, creative, and curious. I have almost 30 years’ experience collaborating with individuals who have substance use disorders, chronic mental health disorders and developmental disabilities. I have worked in a variety of care settings ranging from clinics to residential treatment facilities. In addition, I spent five years providing case management and in-home therapy to individuals in a Community Support Program. I specialize in supporting neurodivergent adult individuals to build healthier relationships, regulate their moods, and conquer their anxieties. My treatment approach focuses on discovering emotions, emotional regulation, and targeting ineffective behaviors, and beliefs. I use coaching and counseling strategies in my practice to ensure better treatment outcomes. Therapy provides the blueprint for positive change. Coaching provides the support, stretch, and accountability to make change happen. I was inspired to work in mental health by supporting loved ones with mental health issues. Along my journey to becoming a professional, I overcame my own life struggles because life happens. I have a powerful desire to end mental health stigma and to help improve the lives of others. My goal is to help others reduce emotional suffering and develop resilience through Neurodiverse Affirming Care. If anything on my profile resonates with you, book an appointment today! I offer telehealth appointments and have limited in-person appointments available in Madison, WI. I would love to meet you. I offer a 15-minute free phone consultation so you can see if the services at Cogni-Link Coaching are right for you.
