At Summit Therapy Center, we believe in the transformative power of play therapy to nurture healing, growth, and resilience. In our work with children and families grappling with complex trauma, neurodivergent diagnoses, and various life stressors, we recognize that the healing journey is shaped by diverse cultural influences beyond our direct control. We have engaged deeply with individuals from diverse backgrounds who have felt marginalized by societal pressures, leading to increased stress, anxiety, and depression. The absence of self-compassion often prevents individuals from extending kindness to themselves during difficult times, which can profoundly impact their mental and physical well-being. At Summit Therapy Center, we prioritize the cultivation of healthy interpersonal connections, understanding that just as wounds may originate in relationships, healing can also unfold within them. Our approach centers on establishing secure, attached relationships with our clients, empowering them to embark on their journey toward greater self-compassion. By emphasizing their strengths and supporting them in navigating vulnerabilities, we facilitate meaningful progress and personal growth. Daysi B.
