Introduction

Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D.), and I focus on treating anxiety (e.g. social anxiety, phobias, separation anxiety), OCD, and trauma in children, adolescents, and young college-age adults. MY SERVICES As a therapist, I care deeply about helping my clients get "unstuck" from negative thoughts and behaviors, in order to reconnect with the things that really matter to them. I combine a compassionate, relatable approach with evidence-based practices to help young people overcome their fears and live richer, more engaged lives. I also utilize professional-grade virtual reality (VR) technology as a component of treatment, which helps my clients practice new coping skills and master their fears in immersive environments that look and feel like real-life! In addition to therapy, I provide private evaluations for children and teens for ADHD and learning disabilities. MY BACKGROUND I completed both my predoctoral and postdoctoral training in pediatric psychology and integrated care at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). In addition to my clinical work, my research has been published in high-impact psychology journals such as the Journal of Pediatric Psychology and the Journal of Youth and Adolescence. Outside of my work, I can be found hiking, working in my woodshop, and spending time with my wife and young daughter. CONTACT Please feel free to call me at 714-367-6752 or email me at david@drdavidpsychology.com if you have any further questions about my services or want to set up a meeting. I offer free 20-minute consultations so you can learn more about my services and decide if we are a good fit. I am available for telehealth or in-person sessions. “You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face." - Eleanor Roosevelt
