Introduction

Taking those first steps to begin therapy can be difficult and uncomfortable. As a licensed mental health counselor I have spent the last several years helping children and adolescents, as well as their families, overcome those initial stages of resistance and discomfort and progress in therapy in a way all parties felt benefitted and accomplished. My experience with children and their families has been that through an eclectic and mutually respectful approach changes can be made to better everyone’s lives.
