Hi, I'm Dr. D, For more years than I care to admit, I was stuck in a cycle of trauma, to the point where I ended up re-traumatizing myself. I broke free from the traumatic fears rooted in my sexually, emotionally, and physically abusive past. I transformed toxic behaviors and relationships that once fueled my fear of abandonment. I now use assertive communication and behaviors (thus the name Azz-ert Urself!), both personally and professionally, to maintain healthy boundaries and express my needs in relationships. As the founder of Azz-ert Urself! Inc., I leverage my years of experience, training, and clinical research to help my clients get "unstuck" from the mental barriers shaped by their own traumatic pasts. Despite leading comfortable lifestyles and having high discretionary income, many of my clients struggle to fully engage in their intimate relationships, resulting in mood disorders and emotional distress in their personal and professional lives. I work with Type-A middle-aged professionals and executives who, despite their outward success, face significant challenges in showing up authentically and meaningfully in their relationships.
