Introduction

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C). My approach is to help individuals to develop long lasting health by using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients identify individualized goals for a more fulfilled life. I also utilizes Brainspotting. Brainspotting is a gentle, powerful, focused mindfulness, emotional healing tool based on current neuroscientific understanding of how our mind/body system stores and processes memories, emotions, and trauma; and that the brain knows how to heal itself. Areas of specialty include treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (Postpartum Depression, Anxiety, and Bipolar Disorder). Also working with mothers and fathers who are struggling with adjustment to parenthood, infertility, perinatal loss, birth trauma, NICU experiences, medical complications related to pregnancy and child birth. In addition, working with college students and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, difficult life transitions, LGBTQ, Understanding Identity Struggles, Social Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive-Disorder, Self-Worth/Self Esteem, and Building Healthier Relationships. Brainspotting can also be an add on for a Client who is already set up with a talk therapist. It can be added to help work through being stuck, trauma, and healing on a deeper level. It uses a Mind/Body approach to psychotherapy that evolved from Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and the Somatic Experiencing (SE) Traditions. Upsetting memories are stored deep within the brain and the body. BSP helps to release these stressors because it works from the deeper level of the autonomic nervous system and within the limbic system in the brain. Also providing individual consultation, supervision and training for providers and professionals. I believe in the power of continuous learning and growth. My services are tailored to meet your specific needs and goals, providing you with the guidance, support, and expertise necessary to excel in your clinical practice. Together, we can make a significant impact.
