Introduction

Danielle Lashai Portis, LPC, NCC passionately takes an innovative and empathic approach to partner with individuals whether they’re on a healing journey or in pursuit of sustained mental wellness. Knowing that no two individuals experience life in the same manner, Danielle has an innate ability to assess needs and empathically identify person-centered solutions that cater to the internal and environmental effect on each person she encounters. She specializes in trauma, inner child work, anxiety, depression and behavioral disorders. Danielle’s background includes an AA in Criminal Justice, BS Behavioral Science and MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a Mental Health Advocate and serves as the Founder, Mental Health Therapist and Transformation Coach at Rose Gold Crowns, Founder of Salad Heaven, in addition to serving as a mentor, workshop facilitator, curriculum writer, and speaker. She is the co-founder and Mental Health Consultant for Hustle Mommies, named as one of the 2022, 40 under 40 honorees by the Black Women’s Professional League and Sista Afya’s Rising Star in 2023. She serves as a board member for Hidden Rainbows and a 2x contributing writer. Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Danielle is the biological mother of Amiya and grandmother of Messiah, but is called “mama” by many. She is a music lover, never goes anywhere without a book and a nature enthusiast. Led by Genesis 50:20, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good, to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives”, she uses her own lived experiences overcoming trials of abuse and teen motherhood as fuel to serve; against all odds.
