Hey there! I have been in the mental health field for 10+ years. I started out working briefly in a residential group home and quickly transitioned to doing work with LGBTQIA+ adolescents and families. I know specialize in trauma and working with LGBTQIA+ adults. I generally pride myself on my transparency with clients about what and why I am doing things in sessions. I also consider myself to be genuinely me in sessions, I am not a blank slate therapist and I think I am funny and sometimes blunt (but in a relatively gentle way haha!) For working through trauma and other issues I use a new approach known as T.R.I.P. (trauma regulation & integration process). Which is a trauma treatment that seeks to restore connection between the brain, the mind (feelings, beliefs, behavior) and the body. This process utilizes eye-brain techniques while covering one eye at a time.
