Introduction

Kinti means Hummingbird or Colibrí in Ecuadorian Kichwa. My ancestors, the Incas, held the hummingbird as a sacred messenger and passed down its teachings through the chakana & various legends. When choosing the name for my practice, many surreal experiences took place that ultimately led me to it. Ask me about it sometime. As a bilingual & learning Quechua, Indigenous and Latinx, two-spirit person, advocate and psychotherapist with experience in working with children, teens, young adults, group counseling, spirituality, including marginalized, BIPOC & LGBTQIA2S+ communities and families; I am passionate about creating a space where individuals feel seen, heard and understood. I aspire to cultivate meaningful environments where a person can feel safe and encouraged to be their authentic self and engage in their personal healing journey while reconnecting to their roots. By honoring each individual's cultural integrity and maintaining cultural humility, I aspire and commit to keep myself accountable by engaging with other Licensed Mental Health Professionals and putting my client's needs first. In my personal life and growth not only as a mental health professional but as a person who is on my own life journey, I found myself starting at home & I realized that I needed to prioritize and honor alignment in my life. A special and profound thanks to my family, my mentors, my community and those who came before me. I value maintaining honesty, safety, good boundaries, authenticity and cultural humility. By keeping a clear and open line of communication and showing up for each other, we can work towards your evolving goal, your understanding and your wellness. Finding your path and the courage to heal is a constant learning experience. We all start somewhere. After all, you are the greatest true expert on yourself. If this sounds like something you are looking for & needing, reach out and come see me.
