Navigating life can be intimidating but you should not have to go through the journey alone! You are capable of hope, new beginnings, and change. You are the expert in your life and my role as a therapist is to be a sounding board of ideas and perspectives to not only address stressors in life, but to help identify potential root causes. I am a compassionate, person-centered therapist specializing in religious trauma, anxiety, addressing the impact that institutionalized systems have on a person, and general trauma. I strive to be anti-oppressive in my practice while acknowledging and honoring the intersectional identities of others. Trauma-informed care guides my therapeutic orientation and I tend to use a mixture of mindfulness, practical education of mental health, understanding how the past impacts the present, and exploring how mental health impacts the body. A large part of my therapy practice facilitates how to utilize mental health techniques in daily life.
