So much of our life we have spent doing and becoming who we thought we should be all while avoiding ourselves. We fill to feel worthy and loved. We may fill with work, caretaking or food, just a few of the ways our body has learned how to adapt. We are exhausted and often stuck even though we don't stop moving. Slowing down is probably the hardest thing you do all day, I know because it is for me as well. In my sessions, I integrate somatic philosophies along with parts work and equine assisted therapy to slow down and sink to our bodies. For many of us just the thought of sitting with our bodies is scary so it's a gentle process of curiosity and rooting.
