Introduction

Hi, I'm Dan Upshaw, LMFT, LPC, therapist at Atlanta Family Therapy. I provide counseling and consulting services to Couples, Individuals, and Families, helping them restore hope, grow, and heal. As your therapist, I will work to understand you and your unique situation & needs in order to walk with & assist you on your journey. It's easy to feel unbalanced or incongruent. I will work collaboratively with you to empower you, find hidden strengths, & navigate the roads of life, while helping you develop healthy relationships, find your true self, achieve your goals, and move toward greater wholeness, stability, and joy. I work with a variety of concerns including family, couple, and relationship wellness, distress, or conflict; communication; premarital; mood/emotional difficulties; spirituality, adjustment/life transition; identity; addiction; and sexuality. Together, you and I will progress toward a healthy, hopeful life for you. Further, I believe that all people have inherent value and that no feeling is illegitimate. I provide a safe, honest environment in which you will have a voice and feel secure, significant, and able to be authentic. Only in such a place can a person find hope & grow.
