Welcome! My treatment style is collaborative and solution-focused; I use empathy and deep conversation to carefully listen to you and understand your life while sharing evidence-based tools to support your healing and growth. Specialty areas I can help you with include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, substance abuse, men’s health, couples therapy, and supporting parents with children of all ages. I also help my clients discuss and work through major life transitions—launching into adulthood, navigating relationships and intimacy, taking on new roles and responsibilities, work challenges, and grappling with aging. By way of background, I’m a licensed clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience working with people of all ages and many cultures. My doctoral studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill focused on adolescents, adults, family systems, and couples counseling, and I completed a psychology fellowship at Northwestern University. In addition to my day job, I’m a father, husband, community service volunteer, and an avid traveler and outdoor enthusiast. I meet with my clients online and outdoors (“Walk & Talk”). I’ve put a lot of thought into developing these services, and would be glad to answer questions you may have during our initial, no obligation conversation. Thanks again for checking out my practice.
