I believe in change; that when a person is dissatisfied, they can make little shifts that can create big impacts. I believe in the power of the individual. Sometimes the dissatisfactions and challenges we experience in life can come out of nowhere. Sometimes we can see them a mile away. Together we can explore life’s complications and work towards empowerment and greater satisfaction. My typical clientele are young adults and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, loss, change, family troubles, or trauma symptoms. In sessions we explore experiences and while we may recognize the roots of reactions stemming from the past, we’ll work towards tangible goals in the now. Collaboration within sessions as well as adopting a strengths based, person centered approach are important to me. Sometimes it can be valuable to explore the physiological reactions that our body has to stress and collaborate on how to support ourselves in the now. In sessions, it may worthwhile to utilize EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) or Brainspotting techniques to reduce undesired symptoms. These are specialized trainings that I’ve undergone that many clients have found beneficial. We may also utilize mindfulness strategies within sessions. I welcome scheduling a call to gauge fit for each other. These are about 20minutes via videoconference and are at no cost. I am currently paneled with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and United Healthcare.
