Dakota is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from West Texas A&M University and a Master of Science in Social Work from West Texas A&M University. Working in the public school system for the past 8 years, Dakota has helped students and their families with a variety of issues that can impact behavior, social, and academic growth. As an LCSW, Dakota's therapeutic practice serves children as young as 4 years old to adolescents, as well as young adult individuals. She has treated issues such as anxiety, secondary trauma, relationship issues, grief, depression, and many other "speed bumps" that people experience through life. Dakota's clinical experience includes psychiatric in-patient hospitalization, higher education settings in the West Texas area, families who have been impacted by addiction, and public education. Dakota is originally from the West Texas area and has called Amarillo her home since 2013. In her spare time, Dakota enjoys spending time reading, watching shows she has already seen, and being with her husband and their two dogs!
