Introduction

Working within my Social Work career and previous to my Licensure, I have worked within the community and with human service organizations which have provided me with the experience of working with individuals with a wide array of disabilities. This has also provided me the opportunity to work with their families and support systems, to be part of their team. In doing this, I have developed a person centered module, to assist and support individuals to create healthier life choices, to assist their families and their support systems to understand their disabilities and how to better support the individual. My passion is to work with individuals, both in individual and group platforms, and their support systems as an integrated part of the individuals’ treatment with the overall goal of having healthier lives. I also feel that it is essential that an individual’s treatment is driven by the consistency and support of their team and support working with a multidisciplinary team toward the best interest of clients.
