I provide individual therapy for adults (ages 18+) via telehealth only. My perspective emphasizes the complex and dynamic nature of human beings. You are, above all things, a human being and to be human is a wild experience. My approach focuses on helping you gain insight into the variety of factors that have influenced and shaped you and your life. These impacts often present in the therapy process and relationship providing a powerful opportunity to explore and shift patterns. The feedback I typically get from clients is that they have gained a deeper understanding and acceptance of who they are and what they want from their life. I have observed many of my clients to feel more empowered and freer in their lives. My style is conversational, and I strive to be both gentle and direct with my feedback. I see therapy as an organic and holistic process that shifts with the ebb and flow of your life. In general, I ask you to be in charge of the focus of sessions and I will apply my relevant knowledge and skills. I try to provide you with options about different approaches to explore what you bring to session. I enjoy sharing the science of psychology and strive to provide practical information and skills that you can apply in your daily life. I finished my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2018, and practice as an independently Licensed Psychologist. I have worked in variety of settings helping people with: anxiety, depression, self-esteem and worthiness, trauma and PTSD, healthy relationships, adjustment difficulties, academic and career success, ADHD, diagnostic assessment, suicide, non-suicidal self-injury, substance use, sexuality, identity development, spirituality, and social-cultural concerns. I really enjoy helping people heal from trauma, develop an authentic identity, practice self-compassion, and explore existential concerns.
