Jennifer Morgan, LPC, Virginia Board approved supervisor **Not taking new clients** Jennifer grew up in the small town of Palmyra, Virginia with a desire to help others. While in college, she discovered her fascination for the mental health field. Jennifer went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia. She continued her education with Adams State University where she earned a Master in Arts degree in counseling. During her master’s program, Jennifer completed her internship with a community-based mental health agency providing therapeutic day treatment in inner-city schools in Richmond, Virginia. She also worked with adults teaching them independent living skills. After graduating, Jennifer moved to the Hampton Roads area in 2015, where she completed her residency as an intensive in-home clinician. While working with at risk youth, Jennifer provided both individual and family therapy. She has worked as an outpatient therapist since 2018. She strives to help children, adults and families better their well-being using a non-judgmental and supportive approach and through helping clients better understand the relationship between their thoughts and feelings. Laura Fales, LPC **Wait list** Laura Fultz grew up in Hudson, Ohio and Mountain Lakes, New Jersey. She earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology from Lycoming College in Pennsylvania. While at Lycoming she worked as a Resident Advisor and volunteered as a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America. From these experiences Laura quickly realized she had a passion for helping others. After graduation Laura gained experience working at a shelter for domestic violence and homeless women and their children. Additionally, she has worked with youth that were at risk for substance use/abuse. Laura earned her master’s degree from Walden University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Clinical experience was gained during her internship by providing individual psychotherapy for youth and adults as well as administering psychological assessments. Laura enjoys working with all ages and incorporates a cognitive behavioral approach as well as solution-focused to help individuals reach their full potential. Antoine Nichols, LPC, Virginia Board approved supervisor **Wait list** Antoine Nichols was born and raised in Smithfield, Virginia. He comes from a family where giving aid to others was encouraged from a young age. He continued this practice upon entering Old Dominion University and began volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America which cemented his interest in helping others. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2003 and immediately started working in the mental health field at multiple community-based agencies. After a few years he returned to Old Dominion to continue his education and received his Master of Science in Education in Counseling in 2014. Antoine has worked in numerous settings, including schools and jail, and with all age ranges. He utilizes strength based, cognitive behavioral, and narrative approaches. Antoine believes in assisting individuals to identify their strengths and empowering them to make meaningful change in their lives. Sydney Beasley, LPC **Accepting new clients** **Telehealth Only** Sydney was born and raised in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. She obtained her undergraduate degree in International Relations from Troy University in Alabama. Through her program at Troy, she recognized her love of understanding complexities of individuals within a societal, cultural, ethical and normative context. A few years later, she continued her education and earned a Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Kentucky University. During her internship she gained experience working in a private practice providing individual psychotherapy and led groups at a homeless coalition and pre-school. After her internship she continued to obtain clinical experience completing intake sessions for psychological testing and working at a regional prison conducting group and individual therapy. Sydney completed her residency in a private practice setting in August 2024. Sydney utilizes an integrative approach to therapy; working to collaborate with clients based on their needs and experiences. She has a special interest with empowering individuals to identify meaning and value in life and utilizes their unique strengths and abilities to create growth and change. Jordan O'Donnell, Resident in Counseling **Wait list** Jordan was born and raised in Greenwood, Indiana. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Through her experience studying resilience in children and adults at the university and the Naval Postgraduate School, she recognized her passion for supporting others through some of the most difficult times of their lives. Jordan went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and while there, she worked in a community-based program for transitional age youth with history of mental health and substance use risk. Since moving to Virginia in 2018, Jordan has worked in a variety of settings, to include outpatient, corrections, and residential treatment. Jordan is a Resident in Counseling who has joined the team at Current Counseling with the hopes of working with children, adults, and families to support them in building resilience and coping with life’s challenges. She utilizes cognitive-behavioral and acceptance and commitment approaches in order to support clients in understanding the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and empowering them to make changes in line with what matters most to them.
