Welcome to Roots Counseling, LLC. My name is Cristina Medrano. I was born and raised in Michoacán, Mexico until I was 12 years old. As a first generation student, I graduated Nampa High School in Nampa Idaho, completed my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Utah State University, and received my Master's degree in Counseling Education from Boise State University. I have been a School Counselor for 6 years, five in elementary, and one in middle school. I am also licensed to practice counseling as an LPC in the state of Idaho. I have experience working with kids and adolescents, and their families. I can speak Spanish, as it is my native language. I am here to be with you in your process of healing, of nourishing your inner self, and strengthening your roots.
