Introduction

"Balancing the psyche will help individuals feel more wholesome and functional in an anxious world” Craig is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor located in Los Angeles California. Craig has 7+ years of experience and a concentration in depth psychotherapy and an orientation to Jungian psychotherapy. Craig is a graduate of Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria. Craig works closely with clinical depression, bipolarism, psychotic behaviors and disorders, substance abuse, physical and verbal aggression, and personality disorders. His knowledge and experience with crisis stabilization and depth psychotherapy helps to manage mental health care at all levels of atunement. His therapeutic approach is client-centered, and he is proficient at working with men’s issues and family and marriage counseling. Psychology and the exploration of psychology through mythology, metaphor, and imagery have always been a part of Craig's life. At an early age, he enjoyed reading fairy tales to find meaning in life through archetypal patterns and personifications that exist within the psyche. Later, Craig discovered how mythology examines these archetypal patterns in a very deeply rooted and more meaningful way. After attending a depth-oriented graduate program at the Pacifica Graduate Institute, Craig became oriented to Jungian psychotherapy and the different components of the psyche; The persona, the nature of the complex, archetypes, anima/animus, active imagination, dream analysis, and the individuation process are all components that I enjoy working on with clients. What should someone know about working with Craig? Depth-oriented psychotherapy understands that we as human beings are made up of both a conscious and an unconscious component; it is the unconscious component of the self that can help with one’s understanding and meaning in life. Using evidence-based modalities, Craig works together with his clients to explore how the unconscious self speaks to us in ways that balance the psyche so that individuals feel more wholesome and functional in an anxious world. Craig helps his clients explore metaphor and symbolism in dreams and work with projective imagery to find a better balance that is unique to the individuation process. Progress can be measured through a healthier sense of self, a newfound sense of meaning, and a purpose in life that is tailored to the client’s deep inner needs. Craig enjoys working with clients who are willing to explore their psyche and have a curiosity about life and its deeper meanings. Craig offers individual psychotherapy, couples therapy or family therapy to better navigate the difficulties that the world presents to us.
