Introduction

Courtney (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist with over a decade of experience providing therapy to children, teens, young adults, and their families. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based intervention widely recognized as the "gold standard" treatment for youth experiencing post-traumatic stress. Courtney employs an approach centered on harnessing the client's unique strengths, utilizing them to empower and facilitate the positive, lasting changes they aspire to accomplish. While the goals of the child or young person are the central focus of treatment, Courtney often works closely with parents/caregivers to enhance communication, strengthen relationships, and foster ongoing systems of support. Courtney finds mindfulness in movement. In her spare time, she can usually be found out on the trails training for her next race or in the gym attempting to exceed her last weightlifting PR. When she is able to sit still, Courtney is typically trying to catch up on the stack of books on her nightstand that has (quite frankly) gotten out of hand.
