Hello and welcome to my practice! I chose to become a therapist later in life. After receiving a BS in Botany, I worked my first career as a Botanist/Forestry technician across the Pacific Northwest. Then I moved to Idaho, and founded/co-managed a non-profit natural food grocery store. For several years from 2008 until I returned to school in 2016, I was a stay-home parent. I graduated from University of Jamestown in 2019 with a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling. With this degree, I counseled clients at James River Correctional Center, South Central Human Service Center's crisis team, and Prairie Recovery Center, before starting my private practice September 2021. Trauma, depression, and anxiety are the most common issues I assist clients in navigating through to improve their wellness. However, I am able to work with people with a broad range of issues. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (with Mindfulness and Trauma-informed emphasis) integrated with other modalities as may be helpful to the client. Goals are client-driven, and I view myself as a guide and educator for my clients. I help people gain insight about themselves, while learning new tools to improve and heal their symptoms.
