Introduction

I believe that feeling heard is where healing begins and I strive to provide a nonjudgmental, safe space for you to feel heard and understood. I am passionate about working with people that are struggling and want to work towards achieving their best life, with more peace and joy. My goal as your therapist is to support you in clarifying your needs, your goals, find meaning in life and become the best version of yourself. If we choose to work together, I will do everything I can to make sure you feel heard, respected and understood. It would be my honor to support you in setting and achieving your goals. Taking the first step towards getting help can be hard but I believe you are worth it! It is important to find a therapeutic relationship that feels right to you, therefore I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation before you sign up for counseling with me. Please call or email me if you have any questions or would like to schedule a consultation. My specialties are: I am trained in Eye Movement Reprocessing & Desensitization (EMDR) which is a specific type of therapy. Learn more about EMDR here. Healing & recovery from substance use: I have experience working with people that have turned to drugs or alcohol to cope with pain and the stress of life. I work with clients to address the reasons why they have turned to substances for relief so that they can be successful in long-term recovery. Emotion Management/Emotional Regulation: I have experience with and enjoy working with people that are struggling to manage and regulate their emotions. Often times difficulties with emotion management can affect our relationships and overall happiness with life. With the right support we can learn to improve communication, improve boundaries and navigate relationships that are important to us. Depression, Anxiety, Stress: Many circumstances in life can be so overwhelming and lead to depression and anxiety. I work with clients to develop coping skills as well as identifying and addressing specific causes of their symptoms. Healing from trauma including domestic violence and PTSD: It is my honor to work with survivors of trauma including domestic violence and adults with a history of child abuse. My goal is to work with survivors in facing what once sought to destroy and turn it around to empower them to succeed.
