When establishing a therapeutic relationship, I strongly believe that building a collaborative, nonjudgmental, and trusting environment is essential in encouraging client growth. I believe in the importance of working alongside my clients in helping them overcome challenges and gain insight, while also providing them autonomy to move at their own pace towards healing. I value using an integrative, trauma-informed approach to help my clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves as a whole person. I approach each session with empathy, curiosity, and respect, as well as work hard to ensure safety in the therapeutic relationship to best meet the unique needs of my clients. With children, I like to use a person-centered and strength-based approach that incorporates play and expressive arts. With adolescents and adults, I utilize methods such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also enjoy incorporating mindfulness-based interventions, attachment theory, and somatic work into my clinical practice.
