Living in a constant state of anxiety is exhausting and isolating. Feeling stuck in cycles of worry can lead to feelings of frustration, shame, and sadness. Anxiety is an essential part of being human — it can keep us safe, healthy, and motivated. However there are times when our bodies can start to feel anxious, or we can be flooded with anxious thoughts and the worry is no longer helpful to us. Together, we will identify and address the specific fears and compulsive behaviors that impact your daily life, making room for more joy and meaningful connections. I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and board-certified art therapist (ART-BC) in the state of Pennsylvania. I work with teenagers and adults struggling with anxiety and OCD. I use the evidence-based practice of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to support clients in gaining control over their anxiety. Anxiety and OCD are greatly misunderstood and misrepresented in our society. Often, our thoughts and behaviors can leave us feeling isolated and ashamed; whether this looks like distressing intrusive thoughts or avoidance of things deemed 'safe' by others. We will work together to explore difficult emotions and situations at a pace that feels right for you.
