I’ve worked with youth, teens, collage aged individuals, adults, and parents navigating social and relational challenges, communication concerns, different learning styles, school challenges, and supporting those in connecting with their preferences and identity over the past 5 years. I’ve gained knowledge working alongside trauma, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, Autism, and youth in the LGBTQ+ community from my experience within community mental health. I understand mental health within the contexts of family, community, and culture, as our wellbeing is impacted by these systems. I strongly believe that the person is not the problem, the problem is the problem. Often when mental health concerns arise, we're left feeling that something is wrong with us and that we're the issue. This can leave us feeling more alone, more defeated, and stuck. In my work, I explore how social and cultural expectations, norms, and practices impact sense of self over time. I'm passionate about us identifying ways to support you in advocating for your preferences, values, and identity to help you feel grounded and empowered.
