My name is Claire F. Wilson, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker committed to helping individuals process and move through their traumatic life experiences. I started my career in the field of addiction treatment where I primarily worked in group therapy. In this field, addiction and traumatic experiences are almost synonymous terms. To treat the trauma is to treat the addiction. I am trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting, evidence-based, neurological approaches to processing trauma and living the life that you have always wanted to live. I am dedicated to providing trauma treatment for a wide array of backgrounds and life experiences including but not limited to history of addiction, childhood trauma, grief/loss, etc. Book an appointment with me by clicking the “request appointment” button right here on my website! I also provide supervision services for LMSWs working towards getting fully licensed. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/claire-forman-wilson-birmingham-al/1098079
