When problems arise, we often get stuck in vicious cycles of feeling a certain way, believing certain things about ourselves and others and then doing the same unhelpful things over and over again. And sometimes this all catches us off guard and we are not even aware of how we got to this point or why it happened, and that is okay. We know that life is sometimes messy and therapy can be daunting but together you will work with Cindy to build a shared understanding of this pattern and then make small changes to interrupt the cycle. This work often leads to feeling better, improved relationships and acquiring healthy coping skills. Therapy also requires balancing these positive changes with some degree of acceptance, that we might not, in fact, be able to change every aspect of our situation. Cindy values the therapeutic relationship and provides genuine warmth, empathy and nonjudgmental acceptance while challenging her clients to reach their goals.
