Dr. Murphy received her MEd in community agency counseling, and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Auburn University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-Georgia), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), National Certified School Counselor (NCSC), certified school counselor (Georgia), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). Over the past 28 years, Dr. Murphy has worked with children, adolescents, and college students in a variety of settings including private practice and schools. Her practice focuses primarily on individuals between the ages of 8-20. She has extensive experience with anxiety, adjustment issues, depression, emotional regulation, school issues, transitions to college, and trauma. Currently, she is a part-time lecturer at the University of Georgia in the Department of Counseling and Human Development. In addition to providing individual and group therapy, She is an Approved Clinical Supervisor specializing in school counselors transitioning to private practice in Georgia.
