Introduction

Since 2011, I have been helping people experience their truest, highest selves through humanistic and dialectical behavior therapy. I chose psychology, or psychology choice me rather, growing up biracial child I learned early on that being Black and European was unique and both cultures had deeply rooted prejudices and pain. To survive, I learned effective communication skills, how to mediate energies of others and manage my own emotions. What my personal experience taught me about how the mind works and why people do what they do couples with what I learned as and intern, student and professor of psychology. Today I practice psychology from a wholistic approach summing up the body, mind, and spiritual components of human beings.
