I have been working in the adult mental health field for over 10 years, working in a variety of practice settings including inpatient psychiatric milieus and acute-care medical hospitals. I attended Boston University where I received my bachelor's degree in Psychology and my master's degree in Clinical Social Work. I am fascinated by people's stories and unique life experiences. I prefer to use a psychodynamic lens to understand a person's learned patterns of thoughts and behaviors to allow them to gain perspective on their situation. Understanding how our minds have been hardwired through a lifetime of relationships and trauma to process and react to life transitions can give us the opportunity to cope with challenges in a more effective way.
