Introduction

Christina Darwin is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and graduate alcohol and drug counselor (LGADC) in Maryland. She graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Professional Counseling from Wilmington University and obtained her license in 2021. As an addiction therapist, she has worked with individuals with substance use disorders across various levels of care at Ashley Addiction Treatment’s inpatient and outpatient programs. Christina has experience working with issues surrounding addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life changes. She enjoys working with adults, couples, and families. Christina's approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and collaborative. She believes therapy is a safe place to grow, learn and achieve shared goals using a multi-modality approach to meet an individual’s unique needs. These include mindfulness, cognitive behavioral, solution focused, and motivational interviewing. Christina is a certified Mental Health First Aid instructor. Christina is also working towards becoming certified in EMDR. During her free time, Christina enjoys furthering her education to better serve patients, traveling and volunteering for various organizations within her community and abroad.
