I am licensed as a mental health counselor (LMHC) and substance use disorder counselor (SUDP) in the state of Washington. I've been working in the field of mental health since 2007, and I've practiced as a mental health counselor since 2014. I am also a Washington-approved supervisor for mental health professionals and addiction practitioners. I've had a wide array of experience, including working with community mental health agencies, private mental health agencies, and substance use treatment facilities in King County for the majority of my career. Prior to settling in mental health, I worked in food service, politics, mailrooms, and office buildings. I graduated with my Master's in Clinical Psychology and Mental Health Counseling from University of Indianapolis in 2014. This education helped me specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through coursework and clinical practice. I completed my license requirements in addiction treatment in 2016 via training and clinical experience working directly with clients struggling through substance use addiction. Lastly, I received Dialectical Behavior Therapy training through supervised clinical experience, as well as formal didactics with a certified trainer.
