Chris believes that a relationship of comfort, trust, and genuine interest between therapist and patient is vital to working with any person on any issue. He also believes that an individual’s behavior or way of thinking can be best understood in the context of his or her past and current circumstances. Chris seeks to thoroughly understand his patients and then helps them to develop tools they can use to better manage life’s challenges. He believes that partners and family members can overcome most difficulties by taking the time to truly understand each other’s needs and wants. Chris's specialty is working with couples and adults dealing with a variety of issues, including anxiety, premarital counseling, infidelity, couple enhancement, conflict resolution, sexual difficulties, trauma, parenting (including co-parenting), divorce, and more. Chris believes that every case is unique and he can learn just as much from his patients as they learn from him. Thus, he tries to remain sufficiently flexible in his approach so that the path forward does not feel predetermined. Please note Chris does not take insurance.
