I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena, California. My experience includes working with a diverse group of children, adults, and adolescents in the areas of relationships, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, anger management, coping skills, and emotional regulation. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. I have training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples identify their negative cycles of interactions, reduce conflict, and create a more secure emotional bond. Couples will be able to grow their emotional intelligence and express their emotional needs more effectively. EFT is used to improve attachment and bonding in adult relationships. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), which is a very effective way to treat trauma. What is EMDR therapy? It helps prepare you to heal and move forward from traumatic memories and events. Through rapid back and forth eyes movement, your brain will be able to reprocess traumatic memories resulting in a feeling of healing and calm. Are you a recent immigrant or refugee who is facing a culture shock? Are you struggling with finding a balance between the two cultures? Have you been through any traumatic event in your home country? If you answer yes to any of these questions, I am here to help you. My personal challenges and experiences with immigration in my early twenties have made me passionate about serving immigrants with the process of acculturation, adaptation, and identity formation.
