Cheyanne is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Associate under the supervision of Casey Newman, LPC-S, and a National Certified Counselor with the National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc. She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from UT-Tyler in 2021 where she graduated with honors as a member of Chi Sigma Iota- Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society. She is also a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). Cheyanne is also a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor and has experience working with individuals ages 12 and up who struggle with addiction. Cheyanne is a resident of Henderson County and eager to serve the Cedar Creek Community as well as surrounding communities. Most of her experience with trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, trafficking, anxiety, depression, grief, anger management, and chemical dependency. She enjoys working with age 8+ and families. Cheyanne uses an Existential approach in therapy. This approach, coupled with interventions from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths based Therapy, and Family Systems assists her in adjusting therapy to the specific needs of each client. Cheyanne is continually studying theory to grow her knowledge in counseling and explore new ways to help clients. Cheyanne is a reflective, open-minded, and thoughtful counselor looking forward to helping walk with you down your journey of healing.
