Experience: Dr. Simon is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families for over 12 years. She has worked in multiple treatment settings from the least to most restrictive and has been able to help people make positive and lasting changes in their lives by empowering them to tap into their own strengths and recognize the importance of self-love. Dr. Simon works with individuals managing issues related to self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and other impactful concerns. She has also trained parents and foster parents in behavioral techniques and self-regulatory strategies to better support the needs of their children. Treatment Focus: Within individual therapy, Dr. Simon's clinical approach includes an evidence-based lens, utilizing both cognitive-behavioral and dialectical-behavior interventions with an emphasis on self-reflection, recognition of strengths, as well as skill building, to support managing life’s most difficult moments. She believes that a mix of empathic processing and actionable steps can help people move closer towards their identified goals. Dr. Simon has also focused on trauma-informed intervention and care to combat the many struggles and strains present in so many marginalized communities and related to many aspects of differing and/or intersecting identities. Current services include individual psychological services (60-minute psychotherapy appointments) for adults via telehealth only for individuals in the states of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
