Introduction

Welcome, I'm Cheryl Polyudhapoom, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Psychotherapist. I've started my own private practice because I’m committed to helping adults learn how to build healthier relationships, be free from trauma, and to overall learn how to manage their mental health. My work focuses on targeting negative behaviors, habits, and thoughts. I believe in utilizing multiple modalities in treatment to help clients reach their goals, but my primary approach in treatment is through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). If you’re struggling to cope with grief and loss, I can help you navigate these feelings and offer a path forward. I provide a safe and welcoming environment so you can share your thoughts and fears freely, and I am here to offer you support, comfort, and hope in moving forward. I have worked with children, youth, and families involved with the foster care system as a CPS Social Worker for 15 years. During that time I worked with Mental Health Providers, Educational Professionals, Law Enforcement, and supervised Social Workers. I have also worked at a local non-profit mental health agency providing individual therapy to children and adults. Having lived in multiple cities in California, I have been able to gain experience in working with various populations and communities in Los Angeles, San Jose, Monterey, and Bakersfield, CA. Life isn't easy. So don't do it alone. LCSW's are Social Workers trained to diagnose and treat mental health issues and substance misuse with psychotherapy and counseling. Education and License: -Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California. -Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a Minor in Asian American Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) -Master's Degree in Social Work with an emphasis in Children, Youth, and Families from San Jose State University In-Person & Tele-Therapy available.
