Introduction

Hey! I'm Chelsie. If you’re someone who identifies as queer and/or feels like you’ve been juggling anxiety, depression, complex trauma, or the challenge of navigating a shifting identity—you’re not alone. I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and trauma therapist in Milwaukee, specializing in work with the LGBTQ+ community. I bring both my personal experience as an openly queer person and my professional background to our sessions. Since earning my Master’s in Social Work from UW-Milwaukee in 2020, I’ve gained a range of clinical experience, including working in higher levels of care at Aurora Psychiatric Hospital’s Dewey Center and providing outpatient therapy since March 2021. My approach to therapy is deeply informed by my journey of advocacy, beginning with the work I did in college at UW-Whitewater, where I helped create safe spaces for LGBTQ+ students through student organizations, internships, and volunteer efforts. In our work together, I strive to create a space where you can feel safe and genuinely yourself. I believe therapy is a team effort—you’re the captain of your ship, and I’m here as your co-captain to support and help guide the way. My goal is to help you explore how your past experiences, queer identity, and current struggles all intersect, while finding ways to heal, grow, and thrive. I focus on both accountability and kindness—because showing up for yourself is as essential as anything else we’ll work on together. We’ll dive into setting boundaries, finding clarity in your relationships, and advocating for your needs in ways that feel right for you. Self-compassion is a core part of my practice—I’ll help you treat yourself with the same kindness you’d show your best friend. Together, we’ll explore how to reconnect with your authentic self, the one who can show up confidently and fully in your life, not just surviving but thriving. In sessions, you can expect warmth, honesty, and sometimes a bit of humor or real talk. I’m not afraid to share my own experiences when helpful because I believe that the relationship we build in therapy is a key part of your healing. My goal is to help you feel empowered, understood, and equipped to advocate for yourself in every area of your life. Let’s work together to help you become the best friend to yourself that you deserve! For more information, check out my website: www.EvolveMKE.com
