As a woman, wife, mother of four, licensed clinical social worker, and therapist, I understand what it feels like to be pulled in multiple directions. Balancing work, family and personal time is not easy. I believe that when life becomes “too much,” it is time to step back, reset, and often, reach out for help. I welcome individuals and couples into my practice, and I specialize in working with women who are experiencing a range of challenging emotions and situations, from depression, anxiety, and relationship struggles, to work-life balance, new motherhood and post-partum issues, the demands of parenting, and other life transitions. Just as we see medical doctors for critical care of our bodies, therapy is designed to help us sort things out in our mind; it provides tools we need to be the healthiest and most productive people that we can be – for ourselves and our loved ones. Often, problems like depression and anxiety, or low self-esteem, can lead to decisions that do not serve our best interests, in the short or long term. My practice helps people discover patterns of thought and behavior that do not serve them and then carve out new possibilities for their lives.
