Introduction

For me, counseling is an exciting, yet challenging process with a goal of positive change. I will collaborate with you to establish appropriate and achievable goals to help you improve your life in a number of contexts. I believe that only you can choose your path. Whether you're an adolescent, young adult, couple, or family, I want to be right beside you to help you find your light. Therapy won't always be easy, but it won't always be hard. We will work together to achieve your goals through a variety of different interventions. I strive to maintain an open, honest, and empowering relationship to serve as a vehicle for change. It is my hope that counseling will provide you with a safe place for self-exploration. You are the expert in your life and I will help in finding the solutions that work best for you. Therapy and its process is unique to each individual and I utilize different therapy approaches tailored to fit each client's needs. I utilize a variety of approaches such as solution-focused, person-centered, and cognitive behavioral therapy to aid my clients in meeting their goals. I hold a M.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. I hold a Louisiana LPC License and a Nationally Certified Counselor credential. I have seven years experience working with children, adults, families, those in addictions, and individuals in and released from incarceration. I have worked with a variety of issues including, but not limited to: anxiety, depression, relationship/communication struggles, self-esteem, grief, life transitions, infertility, and infidelity. I believe that we all have a purpose in life and that our actions do not define who we are. We are all worthy of love and a chance to improve ourselves.
