Introduction

Licensed Professional Counselor Graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and received my Master’s degree from Lamar University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I’m Chelsea Freeman, M.Ed., CDBT, LPC, clinical counselor and therapist specializing in working with eating disorders, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. I am passionate about helping adolescents and adults leave their eating disorder, self-harm, and suicidal ideation in the past and build a life worth living. I offer an innovative and supportive way of understanding eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidal ideation and their challenging patterns and emotions. I love working with people to help make sense of what causes, triggers, and perpetuates the various disorders. I believe that combining talk therapy and new strategies/skills that are individualized for you can assist with growth and real change. This treatment is all about YOU! Having worked in multiple levels of care, from residential to outpatient, I am confident in my ability to assess appropriate care and treat accordingly. I understand treatment and how everyone’s journey is different and hope to help you understand your journey. ~Together we can weather the Storm~
