Introduction

My name is Chelsea Edwards, and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Georgia and Connecticut. Are you someone who is ready to live your life boldly, confidently, and fearlessly? If so, I am here to help support you! I believe that my purpose on this earth is to be an uplifter, supporter, and encourager. I am a therapist because I want to give back!   I believe in the importance of living your life confidently, and confidence is built with support! In 2013 I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. I Graduated with my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, in 2016. I specialize in helping you with your ‘grow journey’ through issues like depression, anxiety, life changing transitions, low-self-esteem, and building confidence.   My experience is working with those presenting with depression, anxiety, A.D.H.D., P.T.S.D, sexual abuse history, physical abuse/neglect by their caregivers, and the early signs of personality disorders like bipolar and borderline.  My counseling style can be described as warm, interactive, and innovative. I am passionate about supporting individuals through life stage transitions. I am friendly, open, and provide a non-judgmental space.   I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I do not believe in stigmatizing labels. My therapeutic approach combines techniques from models like Strategic Therapy, Structural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy, I will tailor our dialogue and treatment to meet your unique needs. Life is never a linear. Although it is easy to enjoy life when the sun is shining and things seem positive, life can also be very rocky, uphill, and tiresome. It can be easy to lose touch with your purpose, and personal goals. If you are ready to redefine your life's purpose, and want to feel more in control of your life again, please contact me today.
