Introduction

Charmai has an M.Ed. in School Counseling and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy. Informed by her faith, she integrates attachment-based, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy with a family systems perspective. Her experiences as a cross-cultural missionary, in the United States Air Force, as a child of deaf adults, and as a foster mother have given her deep compassion and a diverse capacity for meeting others in the complexity of life. In her free time, you will find Charmai at a coffee shop with her husband, curled up at a bookstore with a good novel, dancing with her girls in their living room, or on her way to explore a new location.
