I am the founder of Kind Recovery and offer shame-free trauma and addiction treatment in Athens, GA. Nearly 75% of individuals struggling with substance misuse have a history of trauma. The risk of developing a substance use disorder is directly linked to a person's exposure to adversities such as childhood abuse, toxic stress, and dysfunctional relationships. I'm proud to specialize in helping those seeking recovery find the deep healing required for success. I have 5 years of experience working specifically with addiction and trauma both in treatment centers and private practice. I am trained in Motivational Interviewing and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which are currently the most evidence-based treatments available for trauma and addiction. I combine this knowledge and experience to help you move from shame and fear to worthiness, health, and connection. You can expect me to employ a directive approach coupled with a great deal of compassion and non-judgment.
