Introduction

I am the founder of Kind Recovery and offer shame-free trauma and addiction treatment in Athens, GA. Nearly 75% of individuals struggling with substance misuse have a history of trauma. The risk of developing a substance use disorder is directly linked to a person's exposure to adversities such as childhood abuse, toxic stress, and dysfunctional relationships. I'm proud to specialize in helping those seeking recovery find the deep healing required for success. In the face of an invisible epidemic, trauma and substance misuse, you need an ally who sees you, knows your worth, and can help you move towards the life you deserve. I have 5 years of experience working specifically with addiction and trauma both in treatment centers and private practice. I am trained in Motivational Interviewing and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which are currently the most evidence-based treatments available for trauma and addiction. I combine this knowledge and experience to help you move from shame and fear to worthiness, health, and connection. You can expect me to employ a directive approach coupled with a great deal of compassion and non-judgment. I trust that within your experience there is an answer that's been trying to make its way into awareness, and I would be honored to help you reconnect with your inner healer.
