After 20 years as a registered dental hygienist, I decided to go back to school to become a counselor to help others in a more profound way. Too often people suffer in silence out of fear of not being heard, understood, or believed. Trained in EMDR, I approach therapy from an evidence-based wellness model that includes the mind (thoughts,) body (sensations and the nervous system,) and the spirit (meaning, purpose, and connection with something greater than ourselves). I have over four years of experience working in community mental health and specialize in treating various types of trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief/loss, hoarding disorder, adult ADHD, caregiver stress and burnout, and issues related to aging in adults. I offer a 15-minute phone consultation at no charge and accept Aetna, Cigna, United, and Anthem Blue Cross of Colorado.
