Introduction

Navigating the complexities of work, relationships, self-care, and daily life in our fast-paced society can be challenging. Often, these pressures leave us feeling unbalanced, anxious, and overwhelmed. My mission is to empower you, recognizing that you are the expert of your own story. By embracing a client-centered approach, I aim to support you in harnessing your inherent strengths to overcome your current challenges and achieve a harmonious, fulfilling life. Together, we will work towards balance, resilience, and personal growth. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (she/her) based in Florida with a decade of professional experience spanning community mental health, substance use treatment, school social work, and school mental health services. I hold a deep commitment to helping clients navigate various challenges, including stress and anxiety, LGBTQ+ related issues, coping with grief and loss, career difficulties, and depression. My approach is rooted in treating every individual with the utmost respect, sensitivity, and compassion, ensuring a supportive and empathetic environment. Throughout my career, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of the complexities involved in mental health and well-being. My practice is designed to empower clients to overcome obstacles and achieve a balanced, fulfilling life. I believe in a client-centered approach, recognizing that each person is the expert of their own story and possesses unique strengths that can be harnessed to address their current challenges. Beyond my professional life, I am passionate about exploring the outdoors in my Jeep, embracing the beauty of sunflowers, and finding joy in the vibrant color dark teal. I cherish the opportunity to travel and immerse myself in new experiences, which continually enriches my perspective and empathy in my practice. I am dedicated to providing a calming and inviting space where clients feel empowered and supported on their journey towards personal growth and authenticity. My goal is to assist you in finding balance and living a life that resonates with your true self. My Strengths: My primary strengths lie in my ability to recognize and highlight the positive qualities in others, especially during times of need. I possess a strong sense of empathy and provide thoughtful, compassionate challenges to clients, ensuring that I meet them where they are most comfortable. Treatment Methods and Tools I Utilize: My approach to treatment involves several key methods designed to support and empower you. I use person-centered therapy to focus on your unique needs and experiences, ensuring you feel heard and valued. Solution-focused therapy helps us identify practical steps to address your concerns, while cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) works on changing negative thought patterns that may be impacting your life. Motivational interviewing is used to help you find the internal motivation needed to make positive changes. In our sessions, I pay close attention to your individual experiences and also consider the influence of your support system, family dynamics, work environment, and any past traumas. This comprehensive approach allows me to provide support that is specifically tailored to your situation, helping you navigate your challenges more effectively. Why Me? With a solid foundation in social work and a comprehensive educational background, I am well-equipped to support clients through various life challenges. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Warner University and a Master's degree from Fordham University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Additionally, I have obtained several certifications, including a Professional Educator Certificate from the Florida Department of Education and Trauma & Resilience certifications (Levels One and Two) from Florida State University. These credentials underscore my commitment to ongoing professional development and my dedication to providing the highest quality care. My extensive experience spans over a decade of working in diverse and dynamic environments. At Tri-County Human Services, Inc., I have served in multiple roles, from Case Manager to Counselor II, and currently, as a Program Coordinator. In these positions, I have honed my skills in psychoeducational and therapeutic crisis intervention, developing a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and substance use issues. My responsibilities have included coordinating programs, providing direct counseling, and implementing therapeutic interventions, which have all contributed to my ability to offer comprehensive and empathetic care. Furthermore, my experience as a Mental Health Therapist and School Social Worker with the School Board of Highlands County has given me valuable insights into the educational system and the unique challenges faced by students and families. My work in this capacity involved addressing mental health needs within the school setting, supporting students through crises, and collaborating with educators to create a supportive and nurturing environment. My diverse background and commitment to treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion make me a well-rounded and dedicated therapist, ready to assist you on your journey toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
