I received my Master’s in Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University (NNU). With experience in both in and out-patient mental healthcare, I help clients navigate life's challenges with compassion and humor. I am a certified Level I Sensorimotor Psychotherapy clinician. Therapy is trauma-informed and attachment-based with a focus on strengthening our body-mind connection. The goal is to process emotional wounds, change unwanted behaviors, and feel better in our mind and body. Our minds and bodies do anything they can to help us cope with pain, anxiety, and loss. How we attempt to manage our hurt impacts our connection with ourselves, others, and life in general. We cope in ways such as being disconnected from our body to avoid feeling, becoming overly angry when we feel disrespected, or maybe even isolating ourselves out of fear of being rejected. We all need help coping from time to time.
